Enjoy the time together...

As summertime passes, and school time draws near, you may wonder what your child may need for the first day of school.

Here are just a few things to let you know about...

        *There is snack on the first day of school. Your child should have a nutritious snack every day.

            * A small plastic pencil box measuring approximately 8” Wide X 5” Across X 2” Depth

This size work well for fitting in their chair packs.

            *A smock for art.

            *A backpack or something for your child                     to carry things back and forth to school.

The children do not need notebooks.

Scissors, crayons, and a glue stick are provided in the beginning of the year. There may come a time when the glue sticks and pencils may need to be replaced for your child.

The following items are always welcome as they are frequently used in centers.

-                  children’s zoobook magazines (any old magazines that are no longer wanted)

-                  craft items (styrofoam, seasonal items etc)

-                  paper plates

-                  ziplock bags (gallon size and sandwich size

-                   paper lunch bags

 A postcard will be mailed to your child before school begins from his/her teacher. We look forward to meeting everyone.

But in the meantime … Enjoy the wonderful, hazy, days of summer!
