A Message From Mr. Mitchell - EHS Interim Principal

Hi EHS Students and Families,

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a restful break and a great first week back to school. We have one more full week of classes ahead of us (without any scheduling interruptions) before we start our midterm exams on January 20th. You can find the midterm exam schedule and pertinent information below.

During the second semester, we will be trialing a shortened add/drop period for classes. Students will have 5 school days to make any adjustments to their second semester schedule. The add/drop period will run from Tuesday, January 27th to the end of the school day on Monday, February 2nd.

Finally, as we head into the second semester, I want to reemphasize the importance of students "unplugging" from their phones, airpods and other technology devices while they are in school. These devices can be a significant distraction to learning, and we want to ensure that students are focused, engaged, and present in their classes. Please take a moment to speak with your child about keeping their phone put away during the school day and following school expectations. Your partnership makes a real difference in helping us maintain a positive learning environment for all students.

Take care and enjoy your weekend!
Jon Mitchell
EHS Interim Principal

Join us next Monday, January 12th at JRegos!

Ellington Women's Club and Ellington Safe Grad are teaming up for a healthy fundraising collaboration — New Year, Healthy You!

This month’s setback event will include more than just the tournament. In addition to the always eventful night of card playing (thank you for sponsoring, Olenders!) several local vendors have graciously offered up their time and services for all to enjoy. Thanks again, A Better Self, The Revival Room, Entirely DeVine, Journey for Nutrition and J Regos!

Vendor services and prizes include vitamin injections, skin care kits, massages, raffles to win free fitness classes, tea samples and more. We’ll also have silent auction items up for grabs and raffle baskets, including a chef dinner at JRegos. Last but not least, JRegos will be donating 10% of all the night's sales.

Can’t make the full event? No problem! Pop in to buy 5 raffle tickets for $20 or Venmo @Kristen-Helin16 and she'll put your tickets in the baskets you want. Or stay, have dinner, and check out the local vendors.
