ERMS Auditions: November 12^th

$7 Registration fee due October 4^th

Permission slip for the bus ride will come out after registration

Students who are interested in challenging themselves learn a solo from a predetermined list and audition for a judge who will give them a score based on several musical elements. The top scoring students in each instrument from the Eastern Region of Connecticut will get to participate in a festival in March.

Coast Guard Band Field Trip: November 2^nd

Permission slip plus $5 fee due October 26^th

We have the excellent opportunity to see a free concert by the Coast Guard Band geared specifically toward middle school students! Special thanks to the Friends of Music, who have cut the cost of this trip down to only $5 by donating money toward our buses.

Any money can be in the form of cash or a check made out to EMS

The two jazz bands meet every Monday that we have school with one exception – there will not be rehearsal on Halloween.

Winter Dress Rehearsal: after school on Monday, December 19^th until 3:30

Winter Band Concert: Tuesday, December 20^th at 7:00pm.

Students should arrive in the music room at 6:30 to warm up and tune.

Concert dress is either all black or black on the bottom and white on the top.
